Cherifa Heintz

Born and raised in Comines, France, Chérifa Heintz is fluent in English, French, Arabic, Spanish, and Catalan, After leaving her international marketing career in France, Chérifa moved to Spain for the better part of a decade growing both professionally and personally. Once arriving in Canada, she quickly took up volunteer positions with Penetanguishene Secondary School, Quest Art Shop, and the bookstore at Gateway Centre for Learning, Once Chérifa's work permit arrived, La Clé d’la Baie offered her the position of Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) teacher where she enjoyed teaching and coordinating programs for adult learning for more than two years.

Cherifa loves living in one of Simcoe County's three designated Francophone areas and believes that multilingualism opens the door to many opportunities. As a self-proclaimed "linguaphile", her passion for teaching has helped numerous people of all ages learn or improve their language skills.

Jeannine Dumoulin

Originally from Montreal, Jeannine arrived in Ontario more than 15 years ago. Today, she lives in Tiny with her husband and her dog in their beautiful country home. She helps the elderly in our community with everyday chores (household, shopping, company, reading) and is also an avid bridge player.

Jeannine has been with the STS team since day one; with her experience, gentle demeanor and patience, she uses her natural teaching skills to teach students at many levels. Jeannine is available when we need a substitute. She is a valued asset at Simcoe Tutoring Services!

Leigh Wallace

Leigh is a long-time resident of Simcoe County with over 15 years of experience as a tutoring Instructor. She knows the Ontario curriculum inside-out and students needing support with Math skills, English skills or with their GED test preparation will greatly appreciate her vast knowledge base, her well-honed teaching abilities and her great patience! Leigh has also been a great supporter of Simcoe Tutoring Services as a volunteer; over the years she has become a pillar of our remedial programs.

Leigh is available to work with students needing academic support in an on-going way, but she can also be consulted for just a few sessions in preparation for a particularly daunting assignment or test/exam. Call us to discuss your needs!

Danika Mayer

Born and raised in the area, Danika grew up in a French household and did all her studies in French. After graduating from École Secondaire Le Caron in Penetanguishene, she pursued her studies in Social Work at college Boreal in Sudbury. As a teenager, she spent her summers babysitting for a family of 4 children and she has since then worked in customer service as a server and as a supervisor for a daycare. She enjoys helping children learn and loves meeting new people. She has also completed a placement with Community Living Huronia in the Person Directed Planning field. She is a proud francophone and is eager to share her passion for the language with others through Simcoe Tutoring Services.

Gaelle Abdelaziz

Born and raised in France, Gaelle moved to Canada a decade ago as a full-time au-pair. She met her future husband and together, they moved to Midland to start a family; they now have two boys and Gaelle works for Canada Post. Fluent in both English and French and a " natural" with children, she has been part of the STS instructor's team since 2018. She loves to work with her students, primarily helping with reading/writing skills.

Adrianna-Rose Gagnon

Born in Toronto and raised in Simcoe county, Adrianna grew up in a quiet neighborhood where she spent many an hour reading and appreciating the English language. She excelled in school throughout her youth and after graduation, continued her studies to become a Developmental Service Worker. Adriana always enjoyed working with children and believes every child is capable of great things if given the chance. She works with the SCDSB as an educational assistant and joined the STS team in 2020.
